Event Date: July 29, 2019 - August 29, 2019
Welcome to summer, True Grain friends! This year we’ve been working hard to enhance our patio experiences at each of our bakeries. We take our time with everything we bake, and we want you to have ample opportunity to linger over your favourite pastry and coffee creation. So whether you’re strolling by the marina in Cowichan Bay , checking out new trails around Comox Valley , or wine touring in the Okanagan , stop by to visit us, pick out something delectable and let us pour caffeine nectar over ice for you.
In Cowichan Bay we now have three outdoor seating areas boasting beautiful views. We're open 7 days a week from 8am to 6pm, with a full range of fresh, handcrafted bread and pastries. Take your time and remember to stop and smell the flours!
Our lunchtime Flatbreads have been a huge hit at the bakery in Courtenay . The patio is open Monday-Saturday 8am to 5pm. If you're in the Comox Valley, you'll also want to visit us on Thursdays for "German Day" for your chance to try authentic German Brötchen and organic BC Rye Pumpernickel, and of course, German Pretzels!
Our friends in the Okanagan can now relax on our brand new summer patio! Grab an organic butter pastry and an iced latte and watch the world go by. We're open 7 days a week for the summer: 8am to 5pm Monday-Saturday, and 8am to 2pm on Sundays during the Summerland Rotary Sunday Market . It can get hot in the valley, so we're now brewing organic iced tea using Westholme Tea Company's Crimson blend.
Each of the bakeries has exciting but different new menu items, as the bakers get creative with seasonal fruit and vegetables. These change throughout the summer as new things come into season. There could be a new sourdough or a new fruit pastry or a new flatbread recipe - it all depends what's coming off the local organic farms. It's part of what makes this time of year so much fun.
