Greater Vancouver (Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Delta, Surrey, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge); Fraser Valley (Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack); Squamish-Whistler-Pemberton; Sunshine Coast
The Vancouver Coast region encompasses a vast array of scenery, from the cosmopolitan neighbourhoods of Metro Vancouver to the rainforests and secluded coves of the Sunshine Coast and the Sea-to-Sky Highway. The fantastic outdoors experience is complimented by fine dining, high-end shopping and cultural experiences.
The Fraser Valley region, just to the east of Greater Vancouver, is a fertile farming area bursting with farm-fresh produce and refined local wines. Local chefs have access to this and more, with fresh produce from the Pemberton Valley and delicious seafood from the Pacific Ocean. The region also has the largest number of greenhouses in British Columbia and produces 70% of the province’s dairy products. Vancouver was the birth-place of the 100-mile diet, and its premise of eating within a 100-mile radius, and many local chefs explore this on their menus.
