Next time you’re in Kelowna, add Indigenous World Winery to your list of places to visit

March 08, 2018

Kelowna is an ever-changing, expanding city in the Okanagan, and there is always something new and exciting to check out. Indigenous World Winery is at the top of this list, having recently opened in 2016.

Indigenous World merges the modern culture with Indigenous history, paying respect to the Indigenous first peoples of the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys located in British Columbia, Canada. The winery practices environmentally-friendly wine-making as well as being aware and respectful of the lands on which they grow their grapes.

Okanagan Syilx descendants Robert Louie and his wife, Bernice, are the originators of the Indigenous World concept. They exude a strong passion for nature, their surrounding lands and the rich history that make up the traditions of Syilx people. They partnered with Jason Parkes, a well-known and gifted winemaker.

Together, this team has built a beautiful winery and restaurant, “Red Fox Club”, which has an ever-changing seasonal menu with something for every palate featuring constantly evolving, fresh, locally-sourced B.C. ingredients! Be it their Four Cheese Dumplings, the Rangeland Bison "Meatballs", or their decadent Canadian-Inspired Cheese Board, chef de cuisine Andrea Callan and her team will be there to take care of you and ensure you have a memorable local dining experience.
