Amongst the large standing birch trees and the quaking aspen, there sits a modest house with many friends around.
Natural and sustainable agriculture is possibly one of the best we can think of doing on our farm. We care for the land and all of the animals, bugs, soil, plants and water that run over it. We grow beautifully colourful food that nourishes our community and our families. And we really love to do it...
What we do: Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), free-range eggs, gate sales for produce, growing supplies, honey (in the Fall), straw for mulching and hay for feeding.
CSA is an alternative, locally-based model of agriculture and food distribution. CSA members pay at the beginning of the growing season for a share of the anticipated harvest - once harvesting begins, they receive weekly shares of vegetables, herbs and fruit in a veggie box theme. You may also have the choice of add-ons such as cut flowers, eggs and honey.
Our system includes approximately 20-22 baskets per year beginning in May and ending in October.
