True Grain Courtenay is Comox Valley’s connection to BC organic grain farmers. All the flour for our handcrafted bread and pastries comes from BC-grown and BC-milled organic grain.
True Grain Bread is an old world inspired European bakery. Choose from long-ferment sourdoughs made with organic stone-milled heritage wheat, robust ancient grain loaves, traditional French Baguettes, authentic French Croissants, rich Spelt Brownies and more. We add no fat, sugar or preservatives to our vegan breads, except for our Italian bread for which we use cold pressed olive oil.
Stop by for an organic French Croissant and a coffee, hang out for lunch on our patio (our flatbreads are a local favourite!), and take home a hearty wholegrain loaf or one of our popular everyday loaves like Multigrain or Cinnamon Raisin. The bulk of our loaves are also vegan, a nutritious addition to a wholefood plant-based diet.
